Smiles to Go by Jerry Spinelli
My rating: ★★★1/2
A story that begins with a proton and ends with a smile. A story about love and time.
Will Tuppence has planned everything in his life. He even has a list for it. Starting with the day he was born up to the last which is Heaven. Will is, by nature, a sensible planner who follows the rules. He always thinks about the future, plans them and lists them. But one tragedy made him see things clearly.
The book started pretty slow. The story line was random. I’ve read 1/2 of the book but everything was just weird. Nothing much happened. I actually thought the main focused of the story was Will falling inlove with Mi-Su and understanding their relationship and how to deal with his pesky little sister Tabby. But Will is so focused on his problems, that it takes his sister, Tabby, a trip to the hospital to make him realize that his sister bothers him to try to get his attention and love and to realize that he loves her as well.
The story wasn’t that much plot driven but it sure was heart-whelming and touching.
Quote to remember (and to live by): Live your life. Love your life. Now. Every second of it. Wring it like a sponge. Forever will take care of itself.
Happy reading fellas! >:D
